Students from Fort Zumwalt East’s National Honor Society (NHS) took time out of their week to help Alleluia Baskets, a nonprofit organization that provides Easter baskets to economically challenged kids. Since the organization receives donations year round, it relies on volunteers to pour their energy into the project, and these students rose to the challenge to help them out.

Together, the Fort Zumwalt East students unloaded three pallets of basket stuffing merchandise and 1,600 pairs of socks. Sorting donations takes on a whole new meaning when socks are involved!

NHS participants routinely look for ways to serve their school and community while having fun and making a positive, lasting impact. Helping out the Easter Bunny proved to be a good way to meet their objectives.
