Jack Waganer with Boy Scout Troop 30 planned, organized and constructed 20 fish habitats to enhance fishing opportunities in Cottleville’s public lakes as part of his journey toward achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program. Since its inception in 1911, only 4% of Scouts have earned this rank. The process includes earning at least 21 merit badges and undergoing a lengthy review by Scout leaders. The Eagle Scout must demonstrate Scout Spirit, an ideal attitude based upon the Scout Oath and Law, service and leadership.
