Imagine the night sky coming alive with breathtaking displays of dazzling color as far as the eye can see. Then add perfectly synchronized tunes to these blazing bursts of fire as the crowd around you “oohs” and “aahs” to the music’s beat.
And there you have it. Sky Wars.
The Missouri Pyrotechnics Association will host its 16th annual Sky Wars fireworks championship at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 at The Village of Innsbrook Fireworks Field, 13604 Hwy. M in Wright City.
Gates open at 2 p.m.
Sky Wars is the nation’s largest fireworks competition, featuring invitation-only pyrotechnicians who are among the nation’s top fireworks choreographers.
A Children’s Festival is from 2-7 p.m. Food and beverages will be available but coolers, alcoholic beverages, outside food and drink are prohibited. Pets and drones are also prohibited.
